Who wrote it? The janitor? *sigh* At least they spelled your name correctly....<br /><br />'Bout your picture -- meet with and talk to the photographer before you get all gussied and makeup-ed up. Ask their advice on what kind of makeup they'd advise & find out WHERE they will do the shoot. Some of the best photos I've seen of authors have been done out of doors with minimal makeup. Those shots don't look so much like those horrid deer-in-the-headlights shots that always remind me of the ones taken in the Civil War. Also, if you're not comfortable with talking to the photographer, you sure won't be comfortable getting your picture taken by that person! Might you want to have your picture taken with one of your kitties? A prop (esp. one you love!) could be more relaxing for you & it could be a terrific photo! Looking forward to seeing you on the cover. :-)Laurienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4125103167537250391.post-75952572387565862762010-05-03T13:59:22.583-04:002010-05-03T13:59:22.583-04:00How come they can't put that you're the au...How come they can't put that you're the author of the "Booktown" mystery series in your bio?Druhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07978384022143035332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4125103167537250391.post-13305504183023658072010-05-03T07:04:30.147-04:002010-05-03T07:04:30.147-04:00When my first book came out I struggled with the i...When my first book came out I struggled with the idea of an author photo. I didn't have the money to have a professional photo taken and frankly, I take horrible photos. I ended up leaving it off the book. I'm still not sure if it was a good decision or not. As for the name cross over I wish you the very best of luck. There are a lot of authors who do this successfully. I'm sure it will work for you also.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
