This is Fred. It's not the nicest picture of him. He was quite annoyed at the time. See, Fred likes to chill in his carrier. We think this is amusing. I mean, we've never had a cat who actually LIKED being in a pet carrier.
Fred is NOT like most cats.
As a matter of fact, Fred was a rescue cat. He and his brother, George, were in a cage at PetSmart for THIRTY-NINE WEEKS before we brought him home. Technically, he should be a basket case. He's not. He's quite a mellow cat, and extremely affectionate.
But don't mess with him when he's snoozing in his carrier.
Fred is adorable - He's not a basket case; he's a cage case. He is the spittin' image of my dearly departed Benjamin who wouldn't get in a cage or cat carrier without putting up one heck of a fight. Then to show you how angry he was, as soon as the carrier went in the car, he "went" in the carrier if you get my drift. Loved him dearly anyway. Cheers
ReplyDeleteFred is a handsome boy! Isn't it amazing how most rescue animals can simply let go of their past and settle into their new lives once they find their forever home?
ReplyDeleteMy Amber likes to sleep in her carrier occasionally. You'd think that it would get her used to it so that when she does have to go to the vet's, she won't mind the carrier so much? Yeah, you'd think. You'd also be very very wrong :-)!
I think it's a John Grey thing...you know MEN ARE FROM MARS, etc. Fred is retreating into his cave...he sounds very sweet mary kennedy
