We are not snowed in, thank goodness, but we're sick of it already. And it isn't even officially winter yet.
Read on the news yesterday that our town will probably be above average for snow for December.
No kidding! My plans for the day are to rake the roof, shovel the driveway (that Mr. Plowman doesn't get) and STAY INSIDE.
Yesterday I went out five times in the yard for various chores (it was garbage day, took out the mail, raked the roof, shoveled, retrieved the mail) and I couldn't get warm again for anything. Not even with longjohns, sweats, polar fleece and a granny square afghan.
Hurry April and May!!! (And I don't mean people.)
What's the weather like where you are?
Raked the roof?
ReplyDeleteIt is cold here, not a lot of snow im my area but bitter cold. Stay warm !!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYup, to keep the icedams/icicles down, you rake the roof. (Glad we live in a one-story house.) Here's a picture:

I live in Colorado and have hardly seen any snow this year so far. The year we moved here, it snowed from Sept to May at least once a month. They are predicting snow tonight and a possible snow day tomorrow - two days before the kids get out for winter break. If they kids are out tomorrow and have to go back on Friday - well, that's not going to be a pretty Friday.
ReplyDeleteYou probably don't want to know that we set a record high yesterday -82 degrees. Too warm to wear my Christmas clothes, may have to look for a short sleeved red shirt for next year!
ReplyDeleteThe problem in NE Pennsylvania is there isn't enough snow for playing in, it's very windy, and it's too cold to go outside anyway - didn't get above 12 degrees yesterday plus that wind chill! Yuck all around.
