The other day Mr. L invited me to go to the local nursery.
"What for?" I asked.
"To get spring bulbs."
Hot dog!
This is what I hope to see in late March or early April.
Okay, we've had a lovely (unseasonably warm) fall, but I know winter is right around the corner. I don't think it's too soon to starting thinking about spring. Do you?
.
Good luck with this. I used to do this every fall too. But the darned deer and skunks ate my tasty bulbs before the ground froze :-)
ReplyDeleteEvery year I plan to plant bulbs in front of our stone walls, thinking how beautiful that would look in the spring. But then every year I go to the Putnam Warehouse book sale and spend all my money, so no daffodils and tulips in the spring. :)
ReplyDeleteNope...don't think it's to soon at all. I've done the planting in the fall and LOVED the spring flowers. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteIt's never too early to think of spring. It snowed in my part of Canada three days ago and I'm already thinking about spring!!
