Sping?

Look what came up in my yard!!!

Frank's Snowdrop
The first snowdrop of spring.  Weeee!  It's really going to happen!  (Although not quite soon enough for me.)

I know some of you live in places where the spring flowers are already in bloom or -- heaven only knows -- done for the season!  What is it you like best about spring?

  1. My favorite thing about spring is that first day I can open windows and air out the house. Second favorite is all the different shades of green in the woods up behind our house.

  2. Leaving the back door open so the dog can go out on her own (the dog door is built into the screen), fresh air, going outside without a coat, new buds and touches of color everywhere, the return of the migrating birds, baseball - GO RED SOX!

  3. I love watching the trees bud, then get that first, lacy, leafy green. You can't actually SEE leaves, the trees just have a greenish tinge that promises FULL SPRING!! (Gosh, I'm beginning to actively dislike winter ... a LOT.)

  4. I like the feeling of just going outside and not having to put on 3 layers. And green is my favorite color :^)

  5. Be able to walk in the city and "smell the roses." Seeing buds on trees knowing I won't see branches anymore. Letting the ocean breeze through the terrace. Seeing people walk with a smile on their face.

  6. Almond blossom in February, lemon and orange blossom in March, Daffodils February and almost finished, hyacinths and freesias are out now. Jasmine and honeysuckes are just budding. Always something out in the garden. Change from cold damp English winters.

  7. No snow! I live in a place where we get at least 7 mo of winter so for me spring is no snow and lots of sunshine :) I can't wait to see blossoming flowers!

  8. You've inspired me to go check out the spring garden. Dare I hope for sprouts peeking up?

    Thanks for sharing!

  9. I like opening the windows and letting the Spring air in. I also love the time when everything starts turning green and my narcissus, tulips, hyacinths and daffodils bloom.
